Feeding Therapy
I value a neurodiversity-affirming approach to the child and food relationship. This means not stigmatizing nor pathologizing how a neurodivergent or disabled person finds nourishment.

Our relationship with food can be affected by oral-motor skills, sensory processing, interoceptive abilities, executive functions, the state of the nervous system, fears and phobias, and early childhood experiences (including ACEs and trauma).

I approach any difficulties with a bottom-up approach by addressing any individual differences that may be impacting the relationship. I also provide developmentally-appropriate education free from shame or judgment. Most importantly, I lead with acceptance and understanding, accommodating and advocating for the nourishment needs of my client.
