Get to Know Me
Haley S. Wens, MOTR/L
I have been serving the beautiful Pacific Northwest for over 8 years! I began my therapist journey under the DIR/Floortime model, a child-led, developmental-, relationship-based model. I feel strongly about following the interests and joy of the child in therapy, and building trust through authentic connection and attunement.

In graduate school, I also found interest in feeding therapy using a sensory-based approach, which inspired my masters thesis research and program. In practice, my focus is around connecting to the strengths and preferences of the child, and building off of those in an attuned, playful and comfortable manner.

I more recently have become involved in teen and adult therapy, and coaching in the realm of existing as a neurodivergent individual in a neurotypical society. This includes identifying barriers to access and inclusion, focusing on the strengths of our traits and neurotypes, advocacy, and following special interests and strengthening sense-of-self.

My personal experience as a neurodivergent human has given me a unique lens for providing strengths-based, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming care. Other areas of experience include:
